Study programmes under OdontSchool

Education

The degree programmes that are represented in the Educational Council for School of Oral Health Sciences are as follows:

  • Vocational training programme to become a Dental Chairside Assistant - qualification level 4
  • Academi Profession (AP) degree in Dental Practice - qualification level 5
  • Professional Bachelor's Degree Programme in Dental Hygiene (dental hygienist) - qualification level 6
  • Professional Bachelor's Degree Programme in Odontology - qualification level 6
  • Professional Master's Degree Programme in Odontology - qualification level 8

The level of professional competence achieved at the above-mentioned programmes varies greatly from one programme to the next, but they share a focus on prevention and treatment of dental conditions.

All Danish programmes have been assigned a qualification level ranging from 1 to 8. You can read more about the various qualification levels here (external link)

The programmes are all taught in Danish.

 

 

The University of Copenhagen has entered into collaboration agreements on student exchange with several leading universities in the world. You can also find further information about being a student at the Faculty.The dental hygienist and dentist programmes have in place both student and teacher exchange agreements. In addition to the opportunities provided under pre-established collaboration agreements, you may also arrange an individually planned exchange course. If you are interested in this, feel free to contact the Department of Odontology or the School of Oral Health Care.
